We met on Bumble during the pandemic and had our first date outside at The Winchester, appropriately socially distanced. The connection was instant. But it wasn’t until we brought home our first dog, Penny Lane, that our entrepreneurial spirits clicked into place.

When Penny joined our family, we felt what most pet parents feel: the love, the worry, and the stress of vet visits. Over the past decade, consolidation has reshaped veterinary medicine: appointments are shorter, costs are higher, and the people who care for our pets are stretched thin.

With backgrounds in veterinary diagnostics and business, we teamed up with Rachel's longtime friend Dr. Brad and Ruby (Sadoc’s sister). By then, Sadoc and Ruby were already operating a diagnostics lab for veterinarians, so we set out to use that capability for good, building what we wanted for our own pets: calm in-home visits, predictable pricing, and technology that meets the standard of human medicine. The result is Vetr Health.
