Included in a Primary Care Plan :

🏠In-Home Vet Visits

In-home wellness examinations are performed by a licensed veterinarian and technician. Exams are critical to your pet's health and lifespan. A thorough physical examination and discussion about your pet's lifestyle and environment are always included in an annual wellness appointment. Adult dog/cat memberships include 2 visits/year. Receive 1 additional visit/year for each additional pet after your first pet. For example, a 2 pet household receives 3 visits/year. Puppy/Kitten memberships include 4 visits.

🩸Bloodwork

A great way to evaluate your pet's immune system is to perform a blood test for a Complete Blood Count (CBC), which displays the quantity of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. If your pet's veterinarian has any concerns about the organ function of your pet, a Blood Chemistry panel may also be recommended. These tests can be useful in the diagnosis of several conditions, including electrolyte imbalances, metabolic disorders, and liver or renal insufficiency. Prior to a planned surgical procedure, bloodwork may also be required to ensure that your pet is fit enough for the procedure. Memberships include 1 comprehensive panel per pet.

❤️Heartworm - Lyme - Ehrlichia - Anaplasma Tests

It's important to screen dogs annually for seven vector-borne diseases, including heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma, which can be serious and sometimes deadly. Heartworm can be present without any early signs, making regular testing crucial for early treatment. Lyme disease, detected using a specific test, can affect dogs even if they show no symptoms. Ehrlichia and Anaplasma are transmitted by ticks and can lead to chronic issues if not caught and treated early. Regular screening helps in early detection and treatment, ensuring better health and reinforcing the need for effective tick control.

🐱FeLV Test

FeLV is a contagious virus that can weaken a cat's immune system, making them more susceptible to other illnesses and infections. Early detection through testing helps in managing the health of the cat, preventing the spread of the virus to other cats, and taking necessary steps to improve the infected cat's quality of life. Regular testing, especially in multi-cat households or for cats that go outdoors, ensures early intervention and better overall health for your feline friend.

💉Vaccines

Vaccinations are essential for your pet's long-term health and preventative care. While all pets require the basic vaccinations, additional vaccines can be necessary depending on your pet's lifestyle. Your pet's vaccine schedule can be customized by your Vetr veterinarian, who can also explain the benefits of lifestyle vaccines. Vetr core canine vaccines include Rabies, Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella. Lyme and Canine Influenza vaccines are available as lifestyle vaccines. Vetr core feline vaccines include Rabies, FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia), and FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus).

📱Unlimited Telehealth

Telehealth consultations (email, phone, or video) are used to give clients advice on a range of problems and evaluate whether an in-person test is necessary. If a VCPR (veterinarian-client-patient relationship) has been established, the veterinarian is able to diagnose or recommend treatments. Please get in touch with your neighborhood emergency veterinary facility if your pet is exhibiting clinical symptoms that need rapid attention, such as difficulty breathing, severe vomiting or diarrhea, or considerable bleeding.

💩Fecal O&P

Fecal tests are used to check for parasites, Giardia and other irregularities in the intestine. Routine fecal tests are included in all Vetr Memberships.

🦠Urinalysis

A urinalysis is used to evaluate kidney and urinary health and to diagnose problems such as urinary tract infections. Urinalysis tests are included in Vetr Memberships.
